Evening Learn to Curl program

Monday Evening – 12 weeks in the fall/earlier winter
The Club will again be offering its popular 12-week instructional league on Monday nights*.  The purpose of the league is to allow new and almost-new curlers to have fun while gaining an appreciation for the fundamentals of the game. Under the watchful guidance of our fully-trained instructors, participants will learn the no-lift forward slide delivery, proper sweeping techniques, and basic strategy.  Our program is based on a curriculum developed by Curling Canada.  This league is open to everyone aged 18 and up. Here's your chance to learn to curl with fellow rookies, to develop your skills in a no-pressure environment, and to have fun! In order to keep the instructor to student ratio low, space is extremely limited (32 students max)!  Sign up early to avoid disappointment! * Each week we will start off-ice activities at 8:30 pm, and on-ice activity from 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm.

Monday September 25, 2017 to December 18, 2017
  (no class October 9, 2017)

Fees: RA members:  $ 290 plus taxes
  Non-members: $ 315 plus taxes

Please note… those who enjoy their experience in this program are welcome to continue to curl with club members in the draw leagues for the remainder of the season ( January to April) for an additional fee.

Ladies Daytime Learn to Curl program

We offer a free Learn to Curl Program for prospective new members with an introductory coffee party and four on ice sessions, Wednesday and Friday mornings over a two week period in September.   This gives new or nearly new curlers a chance to try it out before joining the club.  Guided by our fully-trained, experienced instructors, you will learn no-lift forward slide delivery and proper sweeping techniques.  Stick instruction is also offered to those who need it. You must join the curling club to continue curling with us and to take advantage of our   Wednesday morning free 4 week program, “The Next Step”, based on a curriculum developed by the Canadian Curling Association. You can sign-up for draw curling at the time(s) that suit you almost any day of the week, mornings or afternoons and/or join the Friday Morning Mixed league. Additional instruction and coaching is offered to all members on Wednesday mornings throughout the curling season.  Contact Nicole Menzies (613) 737-5895) for further information.
