Canoe Camping

Come paddle with us!  The RA Canoe Camping Club (RACCC) is all about friendship, paddling and exploring our amazing Canadian lakes and rivers. We have over 300 members including adults and families of all ages and abilities.  Their skills range from novices to advanced paddlers, from beginner campers to expedition leaders. The Club offers both flatwater and whitewater programs, with tandem and solo boats.

RACCC members enjoy easy to challenging outings: evenings, day trips, weekend trips, multi-day trips and multi-week expeditions.  The club provides canoes, kayaks and camping equipment  to members at prices well below commercial outfitters.

One of the club’s strengths is the many courses which are offered and taught by certified Paddle Canada volunteers.  Course information for the 2017 summer paddling season will be available in April 2017.

You can also visit the RACCC website at www.raccc.ca.

Canoe Club Open House

Friday 21 April 2017 06:30pm - 09:00pm

The club's annual Open House is open to members and non-members alike.

Please mark your calendar for Friday, April 21, 2017 and plan on joining us between 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM in Clark Hall, west end of the RA Centre, 2451 Riverside Drive, Ottawa. The Open House is the best time to plan your paddling season and acquaint -- or reacquaint -- yourself with fellow paddlers you might not have seen since last fall. Check out the Flatwater, Whitewater and Family programs and the extensive lineup of Training courses scheduled for the upcoming season. Visit the boathouse, and check out the club’s collection of boats and equipment. Again this year, we will have a used gear sale table – an opportunity for you to sell the gently-used gear you no longer need, and buy someone else’s! Just bring your gear to the Open House with your asking price clearly marked. RA staff will be on hand at the Open House to process your registration for both membership and training. Registration for the club’s training programs will be open at Open House – you’ll want to sign up quickly because they sell out quickly: they’re excellent quality at a bargain price.

Looking forward to seeing you there, and bring your friends!
