Amy Roberts

RA Summer Camps Coordinator

Amy grew up in the suburbs of Ottawa and attended the University of Ottawa where she was highly involved in Sports Services Department.  After spending two summers at Gee-Gee Summer Camps she embarked on a new adventure working at Camp Lenox, a premier sleep-away camp in the Northeast United States.  At Camp Lenox, Amy worked her way through the staff ranks from a Group Leader and Coach to Leadership Coordinator and Assistant Athletic Director and to her final position of Director of Human Resources.  Her passion working with all campers and staff was exemplified every day.  She often became the first point of contact for parents overseeing their children’s daily camp life, doing her best to ensure everyone would leave Lenox having their ‘best summer yet’.

In the Fall of 2014, Amy returned to Ottawa and began work with the Ottawa-Carleton Ultimate Association as their Program Officer. In the Spring of 2015, the opportunity to work for the RA coordinating various clubs and overseeing summer camps became available and it was an opportunity she could not pass up.  After experiencing her first summer at the RA, she cannot wait to begin her second summer. Amy is truly invested in all the campers and counsellors at the RA.  She believes there’s no better way to develop character and social skills than while having the time of your life at RA Summer Camps!

Tessa Ritchie

RA Summer Camps Supervisor

Tessa has returned yet again for another summer, this year as Sport Camp Supervisor. This is her sixth consecutive summer at the RA and she can’t wait to meet all the new campers and see the familiar faces. She has spent the last four years at Mount Allison University in New Brunswick, where she has played and captained the Varsity Soccer team. Next fall she’ll be headed across the country to do her Masters in School and Child Psychology at the University of Calgary. If she’s not at camp or in school, it’s almost guaranteed she’s either playing soccer or dancing in her mammoth onesie.

Nikki Moreau

Nikki Moreau

RA Summer Camps Supervisor

This is Nikki’s second summer as Junior Day and Day Camp Supervisor with the RA team. She holds a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education from UOttawa, where she played Women’s Varsity Soccer. She has a keen interest in the outdoors and works as an instructor during the school year at MacSkimming Outdoor Education Centre. She has had the pleasure of working in a variety of elementary schools as an Occasional Teacher with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board.

Nikki is very excited to bring the experience she gained from last summer into the 2017 camps. She aims to foster an environment in which children will not only have fun but also develop friendships, a positive sense of self and belonging, leadership and creativity. Nikki is looking forward to working with the incredible RA staff to create a fantastic summer for every camper!
